World Cravat Day
Today we celebrate the World Cravat Day - a Croatian product that is not only a fashion addition but a symbol of civilization and respect, representing fundamental European values.
European Parliament Ambasador School
MEP Tonino Picula visited today II and VII Gimnasyum in Zagreb and handed the plaques to students - young ambassadors of the European Parliament, headmasters and mentors which are included in the "European Parliament Ambasador School (EPAS)".
MEP Picula met with Minister Gabrijela Žalac
MEP Tonino Picula and Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds Gabrijela Žalac had a working meeting today, on the occassion of drawing up a new law on islands. They talked about joint cooperation on improving the quality of life of the islanders.

"Croatia needs to overcome prejudices of others about us, but we also have to reject our prejudices about others," Picula said during the conference on Croatia's branding, organized by Vecernji List in Zagreb.
Conference - 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaties of Rome
MEP Tonino Picula participated in the conference "The future of the European Union: Achievements, Challenges, Perspectives", and ahead of the summit that will be held in Rome on 25 March, to mark the 60th anniversary of signing the Treaty of Rome.

Click for a better Croatia vol. 2 is a creative photo contest that Office of MEP Tonino Picula organizes again, after great interest in 2013. The prize is a four-day trip to Strasbourg at the plenary session of the European Parliament from 12 to 15 December 2016. Also, all the winning photos will be exhibited at the House of Europe in Zagreb.

At the invitation of MEP Tonino Picula, 18 producers from Dubrovnik to Čakovec and five consultants from Biotechnicon, Istria County and Zagorje and Dubrovnik Development Agency, took part in a working meeting at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Picula brought together producers of Zagorski mlinci and Zagorski štrukli, Međimursko meso 'z tiblice, Međimursko bučino ulje, Komiški rogač, Dalmatinski pršut, Dubrovačka mantala, Džem od dubrovačke ljute naranče, Lički sir škripavac
