"Today, Europe is not a concept that only unites people, it is a concept that truly faces different political thinking and visions. The EU is becoming the focus of new and old policy options", said Picula.
"One of the main problems that makes pressure on the values ??and foundations of the EU is that the EU is not a common state but a community of states. Making decisions in a crisis in the community is more difficult" , Picula said.
The SDP MEP also commented on the statements of the head of the Independent for Croatia, Bruna Esih, who on Wednesday wrote about "occupation of Zagreb".
"I think this is an unacceptable statement. It is enough to translate the Constitution to find that it is against the law", says Picula and adds that these ideas, which were introduced in the Constitution, also gave the opportunity to Bruna Esih to become a politician.
