Reward to Croatian Transplant Association is a reward to volunteering and humanity

The Croatian Transplant Association received the "European Citizen" prize today in the Croatian Parliament, awarded by the European Parliament for outstanding achievements for individuals and organizations working on promotion of European values ​​and identity They were nominated by MEP Tonino Picula.

"This prize shows what should be the true content of the European Union and what are the examples of humanity and values that should be built in the basis of debates on the future of Europe. Croatia, as the youngest member of the EU, has so much to offer when it comes to solidarity. Thanks to Croatian Transplant Association, Croatian transplant medicine is at the top on the European and global level and giving the European Citizen's Prize to the Transplant Association, we also give this reward to volunteering, humanity and excellence!", Picula said at the ceremony.

He also pointed out that "the identity card of each political community is the relation towards the afflicted and those who were stigmatized by society" and how the work of the Transplant Association shows the size of Croatia's solidarity.
