MEP Tonino Picula talked with the mayor about the future strategic development plans for Umag, as well as the realization of numerous projects which provide Umag to continually rise in the rankings of the group of the most developed Croatian cities. Of course, the inevitable theme was the prestigious title "European City of Sport 2018", which was awarded to Umag by ACES Europe, a non-profit organization with headquarters in Brussels. On this occasion, Mayor Bassanese officially invited Mr. Picula to attend the award of this valuable prize in December, in the building of the European Parliament in Brussels.
