Children from the islands are visiting Brussels today because Picula invited them

Eleven children from primary schools on Island Iž, Prvić and Silba, are leaving today from Zadar to Brussels, where mep Tonino Picula (SDP) invited them for a visit.

Picula wants to emphasize the importance of schooling in small island primary schools, that are faced with closing because of too little children in classrooms. Croatian islands who are already faced with development issues, without primary schools will be faced with further depopulation, and that certainly isn't in national interest, said Picula.
