Croatia is safe, but there is no absolute security

Security challenges in Southeast Europe was the topic of one of the panels at an international conference in Dubrovnik, attended by three defense ministers - Damir Krstičević from Croatia, Marina Pendeš from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Predrag Bosković from Montenegro, hosted by MEP and Head of Delegation for Relations with BiH and Kosovo, Tonino Picula.

"There is no need to emphasize the urge to talk about security these days. Recent events have turned security and defense into a topic discussed by a relatively narrow circle of experts into a unfortunately, matter of paramount public interest. Security has become one of the priorities in European Union politics, which is why this conference aims to offer solutions for creating a more integrated Union in the security area", said Picula, who organized the conference in Dubrovnik because it has been the center of east and west for centuries.
